Matching bank statement lines manually on the Bank Account Reconciliation page
When you upload bank statements for reconciliation, Continia Banking can automatically match most statement lines. However, if some information is missing or no suggestions are available, you may need to match the bank statement lines and the bank account ledger entries manually.
This article explains how to manually match lines on the Bank Account Reconciliation page, depending on the type of ledger entries.
To manually match bank account ledger entries
To match bank account ledger entries manually:
- Search (
) for and select Bank Account Reconciliations.
- Open the bank account reconciliation you want to work with.
- On the Bank Account Reconciliation page, navigate to an unsolved line.
- On the action bar, click Matching > Match Manually.
To manually match customer, vendor, employee ledger entries
If you need to match other types of ledger entries, such as customer, vendor, or employee entries, use the Apply Entries action or open the Payment Application Review page.
Filters are automatically applied to show only relevant entries. These filters include:
- The posting date must be later than the transaction date on the reconciliation line.
- Only open ledger entries are included.
- If available, Account Type and Account No. are considered.
- Employee ledger entries are shown only if the related bank account is in LCY.
- Currency filters apply based on the Appln. between currencies setting in the Sales and Receivables Setup and Purchase and Payables Setup. If cross-currency application is not allowed, only entries with the same currency as the bank account being reconciled are shown.
To match these lines manually:
Search (
) and select Bank Account Reconciliations.
Open the bank account reconciliation you want to work with.
On the Bank Account Reconciliation page, navigate to an unsolved line.
On the action bar, click Home > Apply Entries.
Important
Filters are applied automatically to ensure only relevant entries are displayed.
On the Apply Ledger Entries page:
- Select from the list of open ledger entries.
- Enter an amount or apply the entry directly.
- The system automatically fills in the applied amount.
- You can view the total applied amount at the bottom of the page.
