Setting up Payment Advices
The length of the filed Description in credit transfers and direct debits is limited. If the description is longer, then a Transfer or Direct Debit Advice is usually sent to the business partner.
Advice setup
The setup parameters can be found in the Payment Formats Setup. For credit transfers this is the SEPA CT Setup, for direct debits the SEPA DD Setup, for DTAZV the DTAZV Setup and for checks it is the Check setup.
In each section there is a field With Paym. Adv. ..., which determines whether Advice should be sent at all for this type of payment.
In the No. Entries for Paym. Adv. ... field, you define the number of ledger entries as of which an advice note is to be created.
This setting can be overridden by entering a different number in the field of the same name in an Vendor, Customer or Employee card.
