Data Centers

As of Continia Expense Management version 2024 R1, you may have the option to choose where you want your data stored. This only applies if your organization is a new Continia client though, and only under certain conditions described in this article. Continia currently has two centers for the storage of data – one in Europe (North Europe) and one in Australia (AU East). Which of these is used for the storage of your data depends on a number of factors, as outlined below.

If your organization is new to Continia, your data center storage depends on whether you use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online or Dynamics NAV/Business Central on-premises.

New Continia clients with Business Central online

If your organization uses Business Central online, your data center setup depends on the localization of your Base Application:

  • If you use AU/NZ localization, you're automatically connected to the AU East data center. No configuration is required.
  • If you use any other Microsoft-supported localization – such as DK, GB, or US – you're automatically connected to the North Europe data center. No configuration is required. For more information, see Country/regional availability and supported languages (Microsoft article).
  • If you use W1 localization, you're prompted to choose either AU East or North Europe during activation.

Important

Once you've chosen your data center, you can’t switch to a different one.

New Continia clients with NAV/Business Central on-premises

If your organization uses NAV/Business Central on-premises, you're prompted to choose either the AU East or the North Europe data center during activation.

Important

Once you've chosen your data center, you can’t switch to a different one.
